Bio

Angela China (b. 1985, Baltimore, MD) is a New York-based artist whose abstract paintings explore the emotional resonance of the feminine experience. Working intuitively, she uses gesture, texture, and color to evoke vulnerability, strength, and transformation—without literal representation. Rooted in a classical foundation, her practice now moves entirely beyond the figure, aiming instead to capture the essence of womanhood in its most elemental form.
