Evoking the feel of faded denim and hand-dyed garments, Loren Erdrich (b.1978) creates paintings by infusing raw muslin and canvas with water, raw pigments, organic and synthetic dyes, and other water-based mediums to create atmospheric images that explore our relationships with the cosmos and nature. She guides us into a realm that exists somewhere between the tangible Earthly world and the spiritual beyond, where fire and water exist in harmony, playing the part of the great leveler but also providing a source for renewal and redemption.
